Tranquil crystal-clear waters, a soft, sandy beach, a Caribbean sun, all worth seeing from atop a paddleboard. There are many great stand-up paddle boarding locations across the Caribbean, but some Caribbean spots are just that much better for it. Here are our five favourite places for SUP in the Caribbean.
1. Anguilla
Anguilla’s waters are a beautiful iridescent turquoise blue, and the calm seas off Maundays Bay are great for SUP.
2. Bonaire
Bonaire has beautiful waters on the island’s Sorobon Beach on Lac Bay, it’s an excellent location for water sports like snorkelling and diving and SUP.
3. The Turks and Caicos Islands
The turquoise seas of the TCI are a haven for up-right paddle boarders, SUP tours are available through natural mangroves and the “back country” of the archipelago.
4. St. Martin
Plenty of crystal clear water around St. Martin. The French side the island is best for SUP, specifically Pine Island and Orient Bay.
