With tropical rainforests and rushing waterfalls, there is no lack of gorgeous landscapes and natural variety of wildlife in St. Maarten. Visitors can choose to adventure the island’s beaches in a way that’s just as unique as St. Maarten — on horseback! Lucky Stables at Seaside Nature Park offers visitors an extraordinary way to see the sites while getting in touch with nature.

Seaside Nature Park is one of St. Maarten’s top equestrian centers, which has been in operation since 1985, this nature preserve holds 30 acres of wholesome nature that awaits, and not too far off from the high-density development that distinguishes St. Maarten. This park is true Caribbean hidden gem!

On horseback, riders can see rarely-traveled nature trails while they ride alongside the magnificent turquoise water as the sun sets in the distance, or explore the lush St. Maarten vegetation and beautiful overlooks that exhibit this scenic island. Horseback riding allows visitors to take on tough terrain and find hidden paths that would normally be difficult to access on foot.

Lucky Stables offers guests a wide selection of well-kept Antillianos horses, a local breed that is famous for being friendly and well-behaved. Guests can choose from a choice of horseback riding adventure packages that include a one-hour and two-hour trail ride or sunset ride, as well as a champagne night ride. Each tour passes through the hills of St. Maarten, just yards away from the water. The trip features stunning views of the adjacent islands of Saba, St. Kitts and Nevis. The trails will lead you to the most southerly tip of the island where you will cross green acres that form a portion of the nature reserve.

The ease of traveling by horse is also perfect for families, benefiting both kids and adults who are looking for an accessible way to experience some of the island’s most breathtaking sights. But here it’s not just about riding horses; they also have a miniature horse, turtles, ducks, peacocks, chickens and geese that all roam around freely.

Seaside Nature Park is one of the most beautiful points on the Dutch side of St. Maarten. This place offers you the beauty of St. Maarten’s nature combined with exciting activities and tours. This park is an excellent location to relax and enjoy life!
